Job summary

Southwest Care Center is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Specialist to support safe, clean, and functional clinical and administrative environments across New Mexico locations. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, minor repairs, room and furniture setup, supply restocking, cleanup, and timely response to facility needs.

The role reports to the Director of Facilities Services and involves coordinating outside maintenance services, managing waste streams per safety procedures,

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings, structures, fixtures, equipment, and facility systems to identify malfunctions, unsafe conditions, and other hazards; promptly report conditions requiring specialized service or leadership attention.
• Maintain preventive maintenance and inspection schedules to support uninterrupted operations and safe conditions for patients, team members, and visitors.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, locks, fixtures, furniture, and equipment within authorized scope; refer work needing licensed tradesmen to qualified providers.
• Restock facility supplies and perform routine non-biohazardous cleanups; respond to spills only when trained and authorized.
• Organize and prepare meeting rooms and shared spaces; install, mount, and assemble modular office components and furnishings.
