Job summary

Management & Training Corporation operates the Otero County Processing Center in Chaparral, NM. We seek a maintenance technician to service HVAC systems and perform building repairs, with duties spanning plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry.

You will execute preventive maintenance, inspect equipment, and respond to emergencies. A valid NM/TX HVAC cert and driver’s license are required, with a full-time Mon–Fri schedule and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, technical training and general knowledge of repair/maintenance, of air conditioning and heating units.
• Three (3) years related experience of maintenance.
• HVAC certification license in the state of New Mexico or Texas is required.
• Must successfully complete pre-service training.
• Valid driver's license in the state of New Mexico or Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of HVAC, electrical systems, heating, ventilating and air conditioning. Recommend contracted assistance when on-facility repair is not possible.
• Perform preventive maintenance checks of building and equipment. Monitor tool inventory.
• Perform routine scheduled checks of air conditioning systems.
• Provide on-call support in emergency situations or equipment breakdowns.
