Job summary

CMI Management LLC in Omaha, Nebraska seeks a General Maintenance Worker to support 24/7/365 operations at a government/contractor site. The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance across architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, with emphasis on safety and documentation.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of facilities maintenance experience, OSHA knowledge, and the ability to obtain required security credentials and a CAC/DBIDS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of facilities maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of safe use of common hand tools and maintenance supplies.
• Ability to obtain installation credentials including DBIDS and a CAC; background check.
• Ability to obtain required security clearance; some areas may require Secret or Top Secret.
• Must learn NexGen IT/TRIRIGA and related systems.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems.
• Respond to service requests and document work in the Government-designated work management system.
• Complete minor repairs: painting, drywall, carpentry, plumbing, fixtures.
• Inspect doors, exteriors, roofing, lighting, plumbing, and report deficiencies.
• Repair or replace lighting components; work on energized systems only when qualified.
• Support HVAC and mechanical maintenance; document conditions.
• Respond to emergencies and prioritize risk mitigation.
• Coordinate outages and access with supervisors and government representatives.
• Maintain clean work areas and safeguard property and tools.
• Maintain inventories, records, preventive maintenance schedules.
• Professional appearance and customer service; participate in drills.
