St. Johns Golf & Country Club is seeking a Part-Time Facility Maintenance Technician with handyman skills. Responsibilities include minor repairs, electrical, plumbing, painting, event setup, and pressure washing. The role involves providing daily repair and maintenance services across facilities, grounds, and other areas.

Essential Duties:

1. Monitor, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including bulbs, fixtures, switches, photocells, and outlets.
2. Oversee heating, ventilation, and cooling systems; perform repairs, cleaning, filter changes, and system adjustments.
3. Perform basic plumbing maintenance, including fixing leaks, clearing waste lines, and repairing water systems.
4. Handle carpentry tasks such as drywall installation, painting, and door hardware installation.
5. Conduct general maintenance, custodial work, and trash removal.
6. Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment, promoting workplace safety.
7. Set up banquet events in the ballroom and on the course.
8. Document maintenance activities and maintain work records.
9. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned and adhere to safety practices.
10. Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED; at least one year of relevant experience.
• Certificates from accredited institutions may substitute for experience.

Physical Demands:

Frequent standing, walking, sitting; manual dexterity; occasional climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 100 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment:

Outdoor weather conditions; occasional exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving machinery, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals; moderate noise level.

Licenses and Certifications:

Driver’s license required; other licenses such as HVAC or boiler licenses may be needed.

Skills and Preferences:

• Ability to read and speak English for communication and understanding manuals.
• Proficiency in general maintenance, HVAC monitoring, electrical repairs, plumbing, and painting.
• Approximately 20 hours per week.
