VLS Environmental Solutions, LLC is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to support multiple facilities and maintain equipment and systems to ensure reliable operations in Lancaster and Baltimore locations. The role requires hands-on maintenance across several facilities, adherence to safety policies, and effective team collaboration.

The position emphasizes strong mechanical aptitude, ability to read manuals, and independent work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Basic math, reading comprehension and writing skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to read and comprehend service and repair manuals.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must keep work area clean, organized and safe.
• Must be able to read and comprehend manuals and guides for equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, maintains, and repairs treatment plant equipment.
• Tracks and monitors all maintenance work.
• Repairs and maintains mechanical equipment and components.
• Ensures shop and plant work is completed proficiently and safely.
• Uses computers to order parts and update work orders.
• Ensures personal protective equipment is used as required.
• Monitors garage and plant supply stock.
• Maintains general housekeeping in maintenance and operating areas.
• Communicates area activities and significant problems with staff and management.
