Job summary

Planet Fitness is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep clubs safe, clean, and fully functional. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate repairs for cardio and strength equipment, tanning beds, hydro massage, and other amenities.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Ability to read maintenance manuals and technical documentation.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple work orders.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer skills for completing work orders and maintenance logs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and fully operational Planet Fitness club.
• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and facility upkeep.
• Repair or coordinate repairs for fitness equipment and club amenities.
• Maintain HVAC systems, lighting, plumbing, electrical components, doors, locks, flooring, ceilings and walls.
• Ensure restrooms, locker rooms, showers, and common areas are in excellent condition.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Diagnose and repair equipment to minimize downtime.
• Maintain maintenance logs and coordinate with vendors for warranty repairs.
