Job summary

Planet Fitness is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep clubs safe, clean, and fully operational. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, repair equipment, and coordinate with management to minimize downtime while upholding brand standards.

You will inspect facilities, service HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and equipment, and maintain logs. Strong problem-solving, communication, and independent work are essential in a fast-paced gym environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities or building maintenance.
• Ability to read maintenance manuals and technical documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of the club to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Complete preventative maintenance on fitness equipment and club facilities.
• Repair or coordinate repairs for cardio and strength equipment and other club amenities.
• Maintain HVAC systems, lighting, plumbing fixtures, electrical components, doors, locks, flooring, ceilings and walls.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs for all inspections and repairs.
• Coordinate with approved vendors for warranty repairs and specialized service.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.
