Job summary

HP Hood is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the plant's equipment and facilities, plan projects, and address safety issues in and around the facility.

The role requires 5+ years in maintenance in a manufacturing setting, at least 3 years of supervisory experience, and experience with mechanical/electrical systems, PLCs, and ammonia refrigeration. You will manage a team, coordinate with vendors, and support SQF compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance experience in a plant/manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of supervisory/management experience required.
• Experience in Food or Beverage manufacturing preferred.
• Mechanical and electrical systems experience.
• Experience with PLCs and Ammonia Refrigeration preferred.
• Experience with outside vendors and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day activities of a maintenance team and communicates with Plant Manager.
• Maintains equipment to increase productivity and resolve malfunctions.
• Establishes a positive work environment including development, training, and safety.
• Creates and analyzes maintenance work orders and assigns tasks.
• Plans and executes projects with the Plant Manager.
• Oversees inventories, parts ordering, and vendor communication.
• Supports SQF by maintaining food safety/quality and GMPs.
• Assists in SQF audits and maintains documentation.
• Hires, trains, and coaches maintenance staff.
• Develops policies for maintenance services and evaluates service agreements.
• Oversees contractor work and ensures project completion.
