Job summary

State of North Carolina - Adult Correction is seeking a Maintenance/Construction Supervisor II to oversee the maintenance of Bertie Correctional Institution's physical plant. You will supervise a large maintenance staff, enforce a preventative maintenance program, and report to the Facility Maintenance Manager.

The role requires extensive maintenance trades supervision experience, plus knowledge of building systems and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Requires four (4) years of progressive experience in facility maintenance or construction.
• Experience supervising maintenance or construction staff is required.
• EPA certification in Type I, II, III or Universal may be required per 40 CFR part 82, subpart F.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate maintenance of the facility's physical plant.
• Provide training and supervision to maintenance personnel.
• Assist with administration of preventative maintenance programs and inventory reports.
