Job summary

The State of North Carolina, Department of Adult Correction, Sampson Laundry in Clinton, NC seeks a Maintenance/Construction Technician III to manage maintenance programs, supervise offenders, and ensure timely repair and reliable operation of facility equipment. This role reports to the Maintenance Construction Mechanic IV.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and experience in maintenance, electricity, plumbing, and machinery; willingness to work in a production-based operation

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience repairing machinery and knowledge of electricity, machinery, and plumbing are preferred.
• Experience operating common maintenance tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise offenders assigned to maintenance operations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and coordinate repairs.
• Ensure safe operation of machinery and facility systems.
