Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a skilled Facilities Support & Building Management technician. The role involves installing, repairing, and inspecting plumbing fixtures to maintain heating, water, gas, and drainage systems, with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

Associate degree in a technical field is required.
Minimum experience: with Associate's degree: 1 year; or 3 years without the degree.
Proficient in use of tools and equipment associated with the trade.
Safety knowledge required.

Responsibilities

Represents the department as a knowledgeable technician and communicates progress to the work requester.
Operates major building systems: boiler, chiller, generator, med air/vac pumps, sprinkler and fire systems, alarms, hot/cold domestic systems.
Troubleshoots and repairs lighting, receptacles, exit lights and plumbing components; orders parts as needed.
Prioritizes work, keeps tools organized, prepares work a day ahead, and adheres to the Plant Operations Priority System.
Uses appropriate personal protective equipment.
