Manage and coordinate all maintenance-related activities of a smaller non-automated or automated facility while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage, train, provide performance feedback, and assign duties to direct reports to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Implement and ensure compliance with all fire, safety, risk, environmental, and health and safety programs.
- Manage, plan, and schedule maintenance workload leveraging the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Collaborate with the facility General Manager to develop and adhere to annual budgets for labor and materials. Review monthly utility reports, discuss results, and provide creative solutions to achieve energy management goals.
- At automated facilities, work with the General Manager to create schedules for planned maintenance events and coordinate with automation vendors during hardware and software commissioning.
- Provide recommendations for future capital expenditure projects and ensure their timely completion.
- Manage site-specific projects for energy efficiency in collaboration with the Lineage Energy Management department.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Guide the design and management of future building or automation projects in collaboration with Network Optimization.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)
- High School diploma or GED.
- At least 3 years of facility maintenance management experience, including resource planning.
- For automated facilities, 4 years of automated warehouse or distribution management experience.
- Experience working with ammonia, Freon, and/or CO2 refrigeration systems in temperature-controlled facilities.
- Proficiency with Process Safety Management and Risk Management Plan regulatory requirements, implementation, and compliance oversight.
- Strong mechanical and electrical fundamentals and applications knowledge.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting at all organizational levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of handling ambiguity.
- Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20°F/-25°C or up to 100°F/37°C while wearing PPE and freezer gear.
- Comfortable working in various noise levels, which can sometimes be loud.
