Job summary

WMFHA is seeking a Building Services Supervisor in Savannah, GA to lead maintenance operations, schedule preventive maintenance, and manage a team ensuring safety and compliance with codes. The position requires experience in maintenance within manufacturing or warehouse environments, with a focus on reducing downtime and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 3 years of progressive experience in maintenance in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
• Large Distribution Center maintenance experience preferred.
• Post-secondary degree/diploma in a technical discipline and/or skilled trades certificate preferred.
• Solid understanding of workplace health and safety requirements and applicable Codes.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to drive teamwork and goals.
• Experience managing building services including janitorial, property maintenance, and HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements daily, weekly, monthly, and annual preventative maintenance schedules.
• Ensures compliance with Building, Fire, Elevator, and Electrical codes and inspections.
• Manages material handling equipment maintenance per manufacturer guidelines.
• Schedules manpower, assigns tasks, and oversees PM and maintenance activities.
• Directs staff and coordinates outsourcing for minor repairs to maintain facility function.
• Identifies root causes of equipment issues and initiates corrective actions.
• Maintains safety standards and conducts regular workplace inspections.
• Collaborates with Warehouse, HR, and Capital teams to minimize downtime.
• Promotes quality and safety through training, process improvement, and problem solving.
• Translates company objectives into actionable team activities.
