Job summary

MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC is seeking a Facilities Manager to provide multi-site leadership for facility operations across Georgia sites. The role translates strategy into operating plans, owns budgets, and drives safety and reliability of manufacturing facilities.

The manager leads the facilities team, oversees major projects and vendor relationships, and coordinates cross-functional support to ensure continuity of manufacturing operations. Occasional travel is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Facilities Management, Construction Management or a related field.
  • 10 years of facilities maintenance experience in manufacturing, logistics, or similar work environment.
  • 10 years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience using AutoCAD, or facility management software.
  • Project management experience in a facility or construction related field.
  • Experience in building trades (i.e. any combination of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC).
  • Familiarity with occupational hazards and safety precautions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall facilities function across assigned manufacturing sites, including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, utilities, building systems, janitorial services, landscaping, and grounds maintenance.
  • Translate department strategy into annual objectives, operating plans, staffing priorities, service standards, and measurable performance expectations.
  • Develop and manage operating and capital budgets for utilities, maintenance, repairs, and facility investments; monitor spending, forecast needs, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Establish preventive and corrective maintenance strategies and ensure effective use of the facility work order and CMMS processes to minimize downtime and operational risk.
  • Lead major facility projects, including expansions, renovations, infrastructure upgrades, and equipment installations; approve scopes, budgets, schedules, and implementation plans within delegated authority.
  • Select, negotiate with, and manage contractors and service providers; monitor contractual performance, service levels, safety, quality, and cost.
  • Ensure facility compliance with applicable company requirements and local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA, EPA, building, fire, and environmental requirements.
  • Partner with Production, EHS, Security, IT, Purchasing, Finance, and other functions to ensure facility readiness and continuity of manufacturing operations.
  • Lead inspections, risk reviews, utility and energy management initiatives, and corrective-action planning across assigned sites.

Job description

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Facilities Manager provides multi-site leadership and accountability for facility operations across assigned MNAe locations. This position translates department strategy into operating plans, establishes priorities, owns functional budgets and performance objectives, and ensures that buildings, utilities, grounds, and critical infrastructure support safe and reliable manufacturing operations. The Manager leads the facilities team, directs major projects and vendor relationships, and serves as the primary facility leader during significant emergencies and business continuity events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

(To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Direct, coach, and develop the Facilities Assistant Manager, Supervisors, Specialists, Technicians, and Team Members; assign accountability, evaluate performance, and support succession and career development.
  • Review facility reports, analyses, invoices, project status, and projected costs; provide recommendations and escalation to the GA / Facility HOD.
  • Lead and coordinate the response to facility emergencies and critical incidents, including after-hours response, site attendance when required, and recovery actions supporting business continuity.
  • Travel among assigned MNAe facilities as needed to verify performance, project completion, and compliance with department objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
AUTHORITY & SCOPE

Operates under the direction of the GA / Facility HOD with management authority for the facilities function. Exercises independent judgment within approved policies, budgets, and delegated approval limits. Recommends capital investments, vendor selections, organizational priorities, and corrective actions. Escalates matters that exceed delegated authority or present significant safety, compliance, financial, or operational risk.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Yes, Directly or indirectly supervises the Facilities Assistant Manager, Supervisors, Specialists, Technicians, and Team Members. Responsibilities include work allocation, coaching, performance management, training, staffing recommendations, and development planning in accordance with company policy.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Facilities Management, Construction Management or a related field.
  • 10 years of facilities maintenance experience in manufacturing, logistics, or similar work environment.
  • 10 years of supervisory experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience using AutoCAD, or facility management software.
  • Project management experience in a facility or construction related field.
  • Experience in building trades (i.e. any combination of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC).
  • Familiarity with occupational hazards and safety precautions.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
  • Valid driver's license
  • Professional certifications in building trades listed above are preferred.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Certified / Licenses:
  • Experience with energy management systems.
  • Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) preferred.
  • Experience managing facility systems such as HVAC or Electrical distribution in manufacturing environments is preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple sites is preferred.
  • Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Electrician, HVAC/EPA, Project Management or similar certification/skills in building trades preferred.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the mechanical systems preferred.
Physical Working Conditions:
  • Approximately 30% office work, 35% indoor facility work, and 35% outdoor facility work.
  • Regular travel among MNAe work locations in Savannah, Richmond Hill, and Ellabell, Georgia, based on business needs.
  • Availability to respond to facility emergencies and critical incidents on a 24/7 basis, including reporting to the site outside regular business hours when necessary.
  • Availability for overtime and on-call responsibilities as required.
  • Ability to move across level and uneven surfaces and to sit, stand, stoop, kneel, grasp, push, pull, crawl, climb, and walk.
  • May be exposed to manufacturing noise, machinery, hand and power tools, and seasonal heat or cold.
  • Ability to safely use or understand standard tools and work practices associated with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fabrication, and HVAC trades.
