Job summary

Hillsboro Medical Center is seeking an Engineering/Facilities Technician to perform general maintenance and repairs across interior and exterior areas. Under supervision, you will handle building surfaces, flooring, lighting, office setups, and minor work orders to keep the facility in optimal condition.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least two years in facilities maintenance, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two (2) years’ experience in engineering/facilities maintenance.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 21 years old with two (2) years’ experience in the vehicle type driven.
Satisfactory driving record as defined by limited accidents/violations within 36 months.
Defensive driving course within first 90 days and yearly thereafter.
Drives an organization owned vehicle as a part of their job (Category A driver).

Responsibilities

Building maintenance: repair interior/exterior surfaces, plaster, wallboard, and flooring; maintain painted surfaces.
Shelving and fixture installation: hang/install shelves, signage, pictures, fixtures.
Office moves and setups: coordinate, move furniture and equipment as needed.
Work order completion: respond to and complete minor maintenance requests promptly.
Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned.
