Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Apprentice Engineer to support operation troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial properties in Richardson, Texas. You will assist with building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical devices, and help with installation and modification of equipment.

This role requires at least 2 years of related property experience, a valid driver’s license, and basic computing skills.

Qualifications

2+ years of related experience in a commercial property setting.
Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with good driving record.
Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel & Word.
May be the only maintenance staff on duty; may require overtime or stand-by duties.

Responsibilities

Assist with operation troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs on buildings and systems.
Troubleshoot and repair packaging, plumbing, HVAC, pumps, valves, electrical and mechanical devices.
Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
Perform basic carpentry, painting, and finishes as needed on ceilings, walls, floors and equipment.
Inspect for unsafe conditions and respond to emergencies; maintain fire and life safety systems as assigned.
Use building automation systems and other tech; complete safety trainings and follow dress code.
