Job summary

St. Louis County in Duluth is seeking a General Maintenance Worker in the Property Management Department. The role is full-time with a day shift from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., located at the Duluth St. Louis County Jail, performing janitorial maintenance tasks.

Essential duties include cleaning facilities, minor repairs, equipment upkeep, and following safety rules and procedures. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, six months of custodial experience, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months full-time paid custodial/maintenance experience required.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, dusts, mops floors and maintains cleanliness of facilities.
• Vacuuming, spot cleaning and carpet care as needed.
• Collects and disposes of recycling and trash.
• Cleans windows and fixtures; refills dispensers.
• Performs minor repairs and assists with moving office furniture.
• Cleans and sanitizes areas following established procedures.
