Job summary

The New York Power Authority (NYPA) is seeking a senior HR Labor Relations professional to lead planning and administration of recruitment, training, compensation, benefits, mobility, diversity, and organization development. This role manages labor relations for NYPA’s union employees, including grievances, contract compliance, negotiations, and related activities at the assigned facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Experience in the electric utility industry and/or a union environment is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of HR labor relations experience preferred.
• PHR / SPHR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote collaborative labor relations with local union consistent with the CBA.
• Coordinate facility project management protocol meetings and advise management on CBA terms.
• Facilitate succession planning and performance/knowledge risk assessments.
• Participate in labor relations protocol groups related to negotiations and hearings.
• Schedule and facilitate MARC training for new supervisors and refreshers.
• Champion HR technologies and manage attendance and productivity improvements.
