Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Facility Float Pool RN at Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO. This part-time position (12 hours per week) requires the nursing process to deliver patient care and coordinate with other departments.

Qualifications include 1 year of acute care nursing experience (6 months in last year preferred), graduation from an approved RN program, and an active RN license in the hiring state or a compact license. BLS certification is required or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1 year of nursing experience in acute care, preferred. Six months of this experience should be within the last year.
• Required Education: Graduate of a state approved professional nurse program.
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Other unit specific certifications as required.
• Other: Physical requirements/demands:
• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.

Coordinates the patients care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patients' rights and confidentiality of patient information.
