Job summary

Mercy is seeking a registered nurse to join the Mercy South Float Pool. This PRN role offers exposure to diverse units, flexibility with 12-hour and 8-hour shifts, and the opportunity to grow clinical skills across Med/Surg, ICU, ED, and more.

The position emphasizes flexibility, variety, and ongoing learning, with competitive pay differentials and a supportive team environment at Mercy South.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1–2 years of bedside RN experience.
• Education: Nursing degree from an accredited school (BSN preferred).
• License: Current RN license in the state.
• Certifications: BLS through the American Heart Association.
• Physical requirements/demands: Push/pull/lift 50 pounds, prolonged standing and walking each shift.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model to provide patient care.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patients' rights and confidentiality of patient information.

Flexible Scheduling Options

• 12-hour shifts: 7 AM – 7 PM or 7 PM – 7 AM
• 8-hour evening shifts: 3 PM – 11 PM

Competitive Pay With Tiered Differentials

• Tier 3 (Med/Surg): +$5.00/hr
• Tier 2 (Stepdown): +$7.50/hr
• Tier 1 (ICU): +$10.00/hr

Additional Shift Differentials

• Evening: +$2.75/hr
• Night: +$4.60/hr
• Weekend: +$1.50/hr
