Job summary

Berman is seeking a skilled Building Engineer to join our property management team in Melbourne, FL. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems to keep client facilities running smoothly.

You will monitor building operations, document work in our maintenance database, and assist with projects while meeting safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, in-person role requiring strong diagnostic skills and teamwork.

Qualifications

• HVAC Certification (Preferred) and experience in commercial setting.
• Five years of experience as a Building Engineer or similar maintenance role.
• Proficient in English, with clear written and spoken communication.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work with ladders up to 30 ft.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Monitors facilities and conducts inspections to ensure uptime and asset integrity.
• Documents maintenance work in the service management database and tracks status.
• Supports facility-related projects and ensures compliance with safety policies.
• Maintains and repairs building infrastructure and supports fellow technicians.
