Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP currently seeks a Custodian to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across assigned areas. The role emphasizes safety, reliable daily upkeep, and adherence to established procedures.

Responsibilities include operating cleaning equipment, following the daily schedule, and reporting hazards to supervision. A valid driver’s license may be required; forklift certification may be needed. Physical work involves lifting up to 35 pounds.

Qualifications

• Education and/ or Experience: No specific education requirement, 3-6 months training or experience preferred.
• A valid driver's license may be required for this position.
• Forklift certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties.
• Perform Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self.
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees.
• Perform repetitive tasks.
• Maintain clean work area.
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules.
• Take direction and respond to supervision.
• Talk with lead, supervisor, coworkers, managers, and customers in a professional manner.
• Fill in during staff shortage.
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items.
• Use proper personal protective equipment.
• Present a professional appearance and conduct.
• Understand customer service and satisfaction.
• The ability to drive to various work locations, customer sites, or company facilities may be necessary to perform the essential functions of this position.
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment.
