Job summary

Columbia Hospitality, Inc. is seeking a dedicated janitor to perform a variety of cleaning tasks across assigned facilities, ensuring a clean, sanitary, and orderly environment.

You will dust, sanitize, mop, empty trash, and maintain public areas, restrooms and food court spaces while following safety rules and reporting maintenance needs to supervision. Qualifications include following instructions, good communication, operating janitorial equipment, and handling cleaning chemicals safely.

Qualifications

• Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
• Operate powered and non-powered janitorial equipment safely.
• Interpret cleaning chemical labels and follow MSDS guidance.
• Maintain physical condition for long shifts including standing and bending.

Responsibilities

• High dusting of surfaces above shoulder height and corners of rooms.
• Sanitizing and spot cleaning of surfaces below shoulder height.
• Bathroom cleaning and restocking soap and paper supplies daily.
• Empty trash bins and replace liners as needed.
• Floor dusting, mopping and vacuuming; dust under furniture and in restrooms.
• Grounds care and outdoor area tidiness; police sidewalks for trash.
• Maintain clean public common areas and food court tables and chairs.
• Adhere to safety procedures and report maintenance needs to supervisor.
