Job summary

Pafford Medical Services is seeking a Billing Facility Coordinator to manage invoicing, accounts receivable, and collections for ambulance services across facilities. This role requires strong organization and communication to keep invoices accurate and timely, with responsibilities spanning from initial billing to final payment resolution.

Based in Hope, AR or Oklahoma City, OK, occasional travel between locations is required to support facility partners and training.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical billing, accounts receivable, invoicing, or healthcare collections preferred.
• Ambulance or EMS billing experience preferred.
• Experience with facility, institutional, or contracted billing is preferred.
• Ability to read and understand invoices, account statements, payment information, and contractual billing terms.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to independently manage multiple facility accounts and billing schedules.
• Ability to prioritize outstanding balances based on aging, dollar amount, and urgency.
• Ability to research account discrepancies and follow issues through resolution.
• Proficiency with billing systems, electronic document management, email, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process facility invoices according to billing schedules and contractual requirements.
• Review ambulance transports to determine the proper facility responsible for payment.
• Ensure charges are billed to the correct facility and account.
• Generate invoices and CMS-1500 claim forms or other documentation.
• Verify patient, transport, facility, and billing information for accuracy before invoicing.
• Maintain weekly and monthly facility billing schedules and timely invoicing.
