Job summary

Pafford Emergency Medical Services in Hope, AR or Oklahoma City, OK is seeking a Billing Facility Coordinator to manage billing, invoicing, follow-up and collections for ambulance services billed to contracted facilities. Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical billing, accounts receivable, invoicing or healthcare collections preferred.
• Ambulance or EMS billing experience preferred.
• Experience with facility, institutional, or contracted billing is preferred.
• Ability to read and understand invoices, account statements, payment information and contractual billing terms.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process facility invoices according to billing schedules and contractual requirements.
• Review transports to determine the facility responsible for payment and ensure correct invoicing.
• Generate invoices and CMS-1500 claim forms with accurate supporting documentation.
• Follow up on unpaid or aging balances and escalate as needed.
• Maintain facility account balances and reconcile payments with ledgers.
