Job summary

City of Murfreesboro, TN is seeking a Facility Attendant Lead to assist in operating parks and facilities such as a gymnasium, athletic field, wellness area, reception area, concession stand, recreation venue, and airport facilities.

You will lead staff, supervise daily operations, and ensure a safe, positive experience for participants while maintaining cleanliness and coordinating with contractors when needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old and able to communicate in English (spoken and written).
• High School diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Three months of experience as a facility attendant or related customer service role.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and assists them with needs; provides information.
• Oversees and monitors assigned facility to ensure a positive experience.
• Enforces rules and safety regulations; responds to complaints.
• Maintains cleanliness and order; coordinates repairs with contractors as needed.
• Operates facility management software; handles admissions, cash, and deposits.
• Maintains reservations, schedules, and calendars; records incidents and inventory.
• Opens/closes facility; ensures security and that participants have left.
• Manages staff; provides guidance and instruction.
• Works a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
