Job summary

Golder Ranch Fire District in Oro Valley, AZ is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to plan, schedule, and oversee repair, maintenance, and upkeep of district facilities and equipment. You will evaluate needs, coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations.

The role requires a high school diploma, hands-on maintenance experience, and the ability to read blueprints, follow safety procedures, and use Outlook, Excel, and Word

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of full-time facilities maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with plumbing, painting, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, or related work.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow safety procedures.
• Proficiency with basic computer programs for work orders and records.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and oversee repair and maintenance of facilities and equipment.
• Develop maintenance schedules and coordinate with internal departments.
• Obtain bids and coordinate with contractors for projects.
• Dismantle and repair equipment; install parts as needed.
• Maintain inventory, purchase orders, and maintenance reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and budget guidance.
