Job summary

The Scottsdale Unified School District is seeking a journey-level trades technician to maintain and repair district facilities, systems, and equipment. You will lead lower level staff, respond to emergencies, and work from blueprints and specifications.

The ideal candidate will hold a vocational degree with four years of related trades experience, plus a valid Arizona driver’s license, and the ability to read schematics, manage work orders, and ensure safety and compliance across district

Qualifications

Vocational degree and four years of specialized trades experience related to the area of assignment.
Equivalent combination of education and experience to perform essential duties.

Responsibilities

Serves as a lead to lower level staff, prioritizing and assigning work; monitor performance; train staff; participate in evaluations.
Repairs and/or regulates district buildings, fixtures, systems, facilities, and/or grounds with journey level repairs or installations; respond to emergencies and safety concerns.
Installs, makes, and/or modifies a variety of materials, fixtures, and/or equipment.
Inspects facilities, systems, and/or fixtures and ensures periodic servicing.
Prepares documentation and work orders; reviews specifications and blueprints; maintains related records.
