Job summary

Scottsdale Unified School District is seeking an experienced journey level trades professional to serve as a lead for maintenance staff. The role involves supervising lower level workers, prioritizing daily tasks, and performing skilled repairs across multiple trades including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

You will respond to emergency maintenance calls, inspect facilities, interpret drawings, and maintain records and work orders.

Qualifications

• Lead a team of lower level staff, prioritize and assign work, monitor performance, and participate in evaluations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings and construction drawings.
• Perform journey level maintenance and repairs across trades (mechanics, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.).
• Ensure safety, rigour, and accurate documentation of work orders and reports.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead to lower level staff including prioritizing and assigning work.
• Repair and regulate district facilities, respond to emergencies and safety concerns.
• Install, modify, or repair a variety of materials, fixtures, and equipment.
• Inspect facilities and ensure periodic servicing is performed.
