Job summary

Enriched Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Assistant in Schertz, TX to perform maintenance and repairs of the buildings and grounds, following preventive maintenance policies.

The role includes painting, HVAC/plumbing upkeep, general cleaning, grounds work, and coordinating with contractors to keep the community safe and attractive for residents. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Licenses/Certifications: HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing preferred.
• Must have or be able to obtain a valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Paints and performs repairs to masonry, woodwork, and furnishings or oversees contractors.
• Maintains grounds, including mowing, trimming hedges, and clean-up of leaves and refuse.
• Performs general cleaning and upkeep of buildings (buffing, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, etc.).
• Inspects and services HVAC, plumbing, and environmental control systems or oversees contractor work.
• Handles move-ins/outs, assists residents, and moves furniture as needed.
• Completes work orders within 24 hours and maintains compliance with safety policies.
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to state and federal regulations.
