Job summary

Sun Communities is seeking Maintenance Technicians to perform routine and preventive maintenance across our communities in Texas. You will handle repairs, grounds upkeep, snow removal when applicable, and ensure the property meets curb appeal standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining pools and equipment, supporting move-ins and move-outs, and coordinating with contractors. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required, with prior maintenance experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months in previous maintenance experience in the apartment or manufactured housing industry preferred.
• 6 months in snow removal experience including operating a plow truck (if applicable) preferred.
• 6 months in demonstrated knowledge of and broad experience in general maintenance techniques and repair work preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Basic computer proficiency (email and internet).
• Ability to work on-call schedule.
• Proficient in operating hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery.
• General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and grounds maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintains grounds, facilities, streets, equipment, and utility systems.
• Performs routine and preventive maintenance on rental homes and facilities.
• Inspects irrigation and water systems and repairs as needed.
• Keeps common areas clean and safe for residents.
• Assists with supervision of service contractors.
• Maintains community pool, vehicles, and equipment.
• Supports move-in/move-out inspections and site readiness.
• Ensures curb appeal and overall tidiness of communities.
• Cleans buildings and maintenance spaces.
