Job summary

Eurofins USA Discovery Services in Fremont, CA is seeking a Facilities & Safety Coordinator to support lab and office operations. Pay range is $31.25–$36.54 per hour, with a Monday–Friday 8am–5pm schedule and occasional weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years facilities & safety experience; AA degree useful.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Within 30-minute commute preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives work order requests for facilities maintenance from employees.
• Act as point of contact for laboratory/office needs and problem resolution.
• Respond promptly to inquiries and resolve issues; prioritise customer service.
• Supports safety audits, office moves, equipment calibration & cleaning services.
• Assist IT with desktop configuration during moves and as needed.
• Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on facilities or systems (HVAC, electrical, safety).
• Coordinate with outside vendors or suppliers for maintenance.
• Oversee preventative maintenance lists and ensure timely tasks.
• Identify and schedule on-demand work to meet client timelines.
• Administer safety and security matters including drills and policy enforcement.
• Assist with emergency response planning and cross-functional support.
