Job summary

Meiji America Inc. is hiring a Facilities Mechanic responsible for carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC maintenance across our plant facilities. You will perform preventive maintenance, repair building components, and maintain safety and GMP compliance.

The role requires hands-on skills, teamwork, and the ability to work independently. Qualified candidates hold NFPA 70 arc flash certification, Lockout/Tagout, and PIT certifications, with 3-5 years of experience in similar duties.

Qualifications

• Requires 3-5 years experience performing facility maintenance duties.
• Certified in NFPA 70 arc flash safety requirements.
• Lockout/Tagout certification is required.
• PIT forklift/scissor/boom lift certification is required.
• Proficient with hand tools, portable powered tools, and powered shop equipment.
• Maintains clean, safe work area and adheres to GMP policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry, plumbing, electrical and HVAC maintenance tasks as needed.
• Repair and fabricate building components and fixtures.
• Operate and document work in CMMS with timely WO completion.
• Inspect and maintain facility doors, roofs, drains and grounds for safety.
• Collaborate with team and work independently as required.
