Mars Snacking in Topeka, KS is seeking a Facilities Technician to operate and maintain plant systems including boilers, chillers, HVAC, WWT, and power equipment. The role requires multi-craft skills and a strong safety mindset to ensure product quality and reliable operations.

The technician will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support audits and regulatory compliance, working with internal teams and vendors to optimize plant efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of maintenance experience.
• Standing on concrete floors and wearing PPE.
• Forklift certification (OSHA) may be required.

Responsabilités

• Provide and maintain Steam, Compressed Air, Plant Environmental Conditioning, Fire Protection, Weather protection, and Wastewater Treatment critical to plant operation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system-wide or area-wide problems in processes and products.
• Ensure daily shift checks are performed; log equipment operation and perform PMs and work orders.
• Maintain compliance with Federal, State, and Local permits and inspections per ISO 9000/14001 Standards.
• Lead and train associates as a Subject Matter Expert and participate in safety meetings.
