Job summary

Arbor Post Acute is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for Chico to help maintain the facility and provide patient transport in support of nursing services. You will follow maintenance schedules, perform routine repairs, and support resident safety and comfort.

The role emphasizes collaboration with nursing staff, adherence to policies, and commitment to a safe, clean environment for residents and visitors.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a 10th grade education.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to follow instructions and to work with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Follow maintenance schedules for assigned areas and shifts.
• Report accidents or incidents to supervisor.
• Coordinate daily maintenance with nursing services when in resident living areas.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility and equipment (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical).
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of grounds, parking areas, and driveways.
• Service heating/cooling units and other building systems as required.
• Assist in lifting heavy equipment and supplies as directed.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information.
