Job summary

Ridgecrest Post Acute is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support daily facility upkeep and ensure a safe, comfortable living environment for residents. You will follow maintenance schedules, assist with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and grounds tasks, and coordinate with nursing staff as needed.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and respect for resident privacy while maintaining clean, functional spaces. Physical ability to perform tasks and lift up to 25 pounds is needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10th grade education.
• Ability to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, staff, and the public.
• Mathematical skills including fractions, percentages, and ratios.

Responsibilities

• Follow maintenance schedules and report incidents to your supervisor.
• Perform routine maintenance on facility and equipment across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical areas.
• Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing services when working in resident living areas.
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information.
