Nassau Candy in Hicksville, NY is seeking a Facilities Technician to join our manufacturing support team. This full-time onsite role focuses on maintaining plant facilities, conducting preventive maintenance, and addressing mechanical and plumbing issues to keep production running smoothly.

The role requires hands-on use of tools, safe operation of equipment, and the ability to follow technical instructions and maintenance documentation.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in facility maintenance or a related technical role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in plumbing and general mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to safely operate basic hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.

We are currently hiring a well-rounded and skilled Facilities Technician to work full-time onsite in our Hicksville location.

About the Role:

The Facilities Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of manufacturing plant facilities.

This position is responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and plumbing issues, and ensuring all equipment and infrastructure meet safety and operational standards.

The Facilities Technician will work closely with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and support continuous production processes. This role requires a hands‑on approach to repair and upkeep, utilizing a variety of tools and technical knowledge to maintain facility systems. Ultimately, the Facilities Technician contributes to a safe, efficient, and well‑maintained manufacturing environment that supports overall business objectives.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in facility maintenance or a related technical role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in plumbing and general mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to safely operate basic hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
• Strong ability to comprehend and interpret technical instructions and maintenance documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical certification or vocational training in facility maintenance, plumbing, or mechanical systems.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Knowledge of electrical systems and HVAC maintenance.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with a focus on manufacturing equipment.
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing or industrial facility.

Responsibilities:
