Job summary

Northeast Aero Compressor and PG Aerotech in Hauppauge, NY seeks a Facilities Technician II to maintain a 55,000 sq ft FAA Part 145 repair station. You’ll own preventive maintenance programs, troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, and coordinate vendors while performing daily upkeep on systems and equipment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in building/facilities maintenance or related trades.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems knowledge with troubleshooting ability.
• Experience with industrial equipment like compressed air systems or generators preferred.
• Strong communication and safety-conscious approach in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting and doors.
• Execute PM tasks and maintain maintenance logs and equipment histories.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic/hydraulic issues on industrial gear.
• Coordinate third‑party vendors for inspections and repairs.
• Conduct general building upkeep and safety inspections; address hazards.
• Ensure fire and life‑safety systems are tested and documented.
• Operate vehicles and forklift to move tools and parts.
• Maintain FAA Part 145, OSHA, EPA compliance and building codes.
• Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize issues promptly.
