Job summary

SanMar’s Ashland, VA distribution facility seeks an experienced Facilities II technician to perform general maintenance, carpentry, and routine painting. Expect preventive maintenance on building systems and coordination with outsourced services.

Requires 1–3 years in facility maintenance, knowledge of custodial standards, and ability to work with tools. Overtime may be required and a $2,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
1-3 years of facility maintenance experience.
Experience operating warehouse equipment is preferred.
Ability to follow directions and work with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of facilities maintenance and custodial standards.
Lift operator certification may be required.

Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance or carpentry, minor repairs, and routine painting.
Assist with preventive maintenance on building mechanical equipment.
Relocate, move, and adjust furniture.
Respond to inquiries and resolve facility issues.
Comply with laws and maintain HAZMAT records.
Interact with outsourcing services (janitorial, trash, window cleaning).
May operate powered lift equipment.
Maintain repair and maintenance log.
Sanitary maintenance as needed.
Overtime may be required.
