Job summary

The Scion Group is hiring a Facilities Technician II in Tuscaloosa, AL to maintain and repair property, perform preventive maintenance, and prepare apartments for turnovers. You will monitor life safety systems, coordinate with vendors, and ensure safety and quality in a fast-paced, collegiate environment.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of maintenance experience, HVAC/EPA 608, CPO certification or plan to obtain, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• High school/GED or trade school diploma with 3-5 years full-time maintenance experience.
• HVAC certification / EPA 608 (Core, Type I, II & III).
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or plan to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Maintain property to SOPs, OSHA standards, and industry norms.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine repairs to keep units functional.
• Monitor life safety systems and coordinate with vendors and managers.
• Document work and materials used with clear notes for records.
• Assist in emergency planning and after-hours response as needed.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and resident satisfaction on-site.
