Job summary

The Scion Group LLC is seeking a Facilities Technician II to maintain the physical condition of our properties, ensure safety and functionality, and support preventive maintenance tasks. This role operates in a fast-paced, collegiate environment and requires strong problem solving and reliable follow-through.

Qualified candidates will have 3–5 years of maintenance experience, HVAC/EPA 608 certification, and a willingness to travel and work after-hours as needed.

Qualifications

• High school/GED or trade school diploma with 3–5 years of full-time general maintenance experience.
• HVAC certification/EPA 608 certification (Core, Type I, II & III).
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO), or intent to obtain within six months.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of key management and security systems.
• Flexibility to work after-hours and weekends as needed.
• Travel availability as required.
• Stand 8 hours or longer and lift up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical condition of the property per SOPs, OSHA and industry standards.
• Perform maintenance to keep the asset in good condition and minimize liability.
• Oversee operating, system monitoring/diagnostics, and preventive testing for major building systems.
• Operate monitoring and diagnostics for life safety systems (fire pumps, alarms, sprinklers, detectors, etc.).
• Assist in creating emergency and disaster preparedness plans.
• Maintain key management protocols and security; escort vendors as needed.
• Coordinate deliveries and work schedules with vendors and contractors.
• Coordinate maintenance objectives with the Manager or Supervisor.
• Diagnose and perform routine maintenance/repair in a timely manner.
• Ensure all service requests are completed.
