Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Facilities Technician I to maintain safe and functional buildings and grounds. The role involves routine preventive maintenance, repairs across multiple trades, and CMMS-based work order documentation.

You will work Sunday–Wednesday, 7:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., with occasional after-hours responses and a focus on safety and guest experience. The ideal candidate has experience in building trades, tool operation, and strong teamwork skills in a dynamic facilities environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in basic maintenance and multi-trade work.
• Ability to learn and safely perform work across multiple trades.
• Experience in one or more building trades (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.).
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools and operate vehicles.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate safety information.
• Proficient with CMMS and basic computer skills.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on buildings and equipment.
• Complete work orders across building trades and document in CMMS.
• Identify and escalate additional repair needs with Facilities leadership.
• Coordinate priorities and materials with Facilities team.
• Respond promptly to staff and guest requests and provide updates.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and ensure safe building operation.
• Support rentals/events setups including HVAC and lighting checks.
• Perform basic cosmetic repairs (patching, painting, caulking).
• Assist with housekeeping and inventory of facilities supplies.
• Maintain clean, organized facilities work areas and safe tool storage.
• Assist Outdoor Landscaping staff with grounds duties and snow removal.
