Job summary

Sysco Metro New York, LLC is seeking an Operations/Facilities Maintenance helper to support facility technician II & III in maintaining and repairing dock equipment, ASRS, electrical devices, plumbing, lighting, and general systems. You will work hands-on, learn controls, and help complete repairs to keep the facility running smoothly.

This full-time role requires safety awareness, ability to read procedures, and logging work in CMMS daily.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; facility maintenance tech school preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures or regulations.
• Valid state driver’s license and liability insurance evidence.

Responsibilities

• Assist Facility II or III with maintenance and repair tasks across systems.
• Learn controls and electrical work (low/high voltage) and basic welding.
• Complete small electrical repairs and refrigeration operator tasks as needed.
• Log time and materials in CMMS daily with work orders and PMs.
• Participate in on-call program and safety initiatives.
