Job summary

Harbinger is seeking a proactive and reliable Facilities Maintenance Technician I to join our team. This role handles routine maintenance and repairs on building systems to ensure a safe, functional, and pleasant working environment.

You will work with various trades, follow SOPs, log work orders, and assist with projects while upholding OSHA safety policies. Candidates should have basic technical skills, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• General understanding of building trades including electric, plumbing, painting, and HVAC.
• Proficiency with tools and equipment used in building maintenance.
• Ability to read blueprints, plans, specifications and manuals.
• Knowledge of safety practices and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic and routine facilities maintenance, construction and repair tasks to standards.
• Installs, inspects, repairs and maintains mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety and waste systems.
• Assists with facility projects such as painting, drywall, fixtures, and moving materials.
• Uses work orders to log activities promptly and accurately.
• Collaborates with contractors to complete projects or complex repairs.
• Assists with office moves and heavy lifting of furniture and supplies.
• Follows all safety policies, PPE, and LOTO procedures.
