Job summary

City Care is seeking a Facilities Engineer to maintain safe, welcoming spaces at The Harbor. You'll perform routine repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and more, while handling preventative maintenance and on-call coverage.

You will coordinate with vendors, document work in our maintenance system, and ensure safety protocols are followed. Candidates should have 2+ years in facility maintenance and a strong hands-on skill set. High school diploma required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in facility maintenance, building operations, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and basic building repairs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in indoor/outdoor environments.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to work independently and respond to urgent maintenance needs.
• Proficient with email/text and maintenance management systems.
• Clear communication with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout The Harbor across multiple systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure safe, reliable operations.
• Respond to maintenance requests, prioritize repairs, and complete work orders.
• Troubleshoot and resolve common facility issues; escalate when needed.
• Maintain interior/exterior spaces, restrooms, offices, and grounds.
• Assess facility conditions for safety hazards and maintenance needs.
• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as needed.
• Maintain records of completed work and maintenance activities.
