Job summary

JLL seeks an Operating Engineer to support operation, inspection and maintenance of mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems at a community in Indian Land, SC. The role involves a mix of preventive and reactive tasks and an on-site schedule, with a focus on safety and reliability.

You will collaborate with a small engineering team and participate in ongoing training while providing excellent customer service to tenants and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry.
• Trade school education, union training or college is desirable.
• Universal CFC EPA certification or plan to achieve within first year (JLL assistance).
• Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams) experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall.
• Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or drive.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned tasks including painting, pressure washing, lighting maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, water treatment, locksmith work and general maintenance.
• Maintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete service requests.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Support on-call or emergency response (if applicable).
• Troubleshoot all building systems.
• Comply with safety procedures.
• Participate in ongoing technical, safety and operational training.
• Other projects and tasks as assigned.
