Job summary

The Cleveland Museum of Art is seeking a Facility Technician for the 2nd shift to deliver routine and advanced operating and maintenance support for building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, automation, and lighting.

Required is an Associate degree or equivalent in HVAC with 1–2 years of related experience; knowledge of Siemens or similar building automation is highly desirable. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of related experience in HVAC/building maintenance.
• Familiarity with plumbing, pipe-fitting, refrigeration, and steam technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine and advanced operating and maintenance support for building systems (HVAC, plumbing, automation, lighting).
• Assist with safety and compliance tasks and use standard tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with team and lead when needed; flexible to weekend/holiday overtime.

Job description

The Cleveland Museum of Art has a 2nd shift position available for a Facility Technician. The Facility Technicians provide routine and advanced operating and maintenance support to all building mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, automation, lighting, snow melt and ancillary systems.

Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school specializing in HVAC and one to two years of related experience/training. Previous experience in all aspects of HVAC and building maintenance required, as well as prior knowledge of plumbing, pipe-fitting, refrigeration, and steam technology. Previous experience with digital sling, fire equipment, saws, torches, electric meters, air monitors, circuit tracers, manual and hydraulic lifts, and assorted hand tools. Self-starter. Must possess strong team orientation and substantial leadership skills. Computer literate. Previous experience with Siemens or similar building automation system extremely desirable. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. or more. Available to work weekends, holidays and overtime as required.

Hours of work: 40 hours/week

Hour rate: $ 23.00-$28.00
