Job summary

Neumo in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Maintenance and Facilities Technician to keep the facility safe, functional, and presentable. You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to repairs, and manage supplies while working with vendors and management to keep systems operating at peak performance.

The role requires hands-on maintenance ability, independence, and attention to detail. Occasional after-hours or weekend work may be needed to address urgent needs and ensure safety.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and general mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with safety regulations, OSHA standards and building codes.
• Proficiency with Windows OS and Office products (Word, Excel, Teams) and ability to learn facilities software.
• Experience with preventive maintenance, work order systems and general repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting).
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs and ensure safety standard compliance.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and supply inventory.
• Stock and order facility supplies.
• Clean up leaves and landscaping beds; spray weeds on hard surfaces.
