Job summary

The Scion Group is seeking a Facilities Technician at Derby Row in Louisville, KY. This role supports maintenance, preventive tasks, and apartment turnovers to ensure safety and functionality of the property. You will handle service requests, stock supplies, and maintain high standards of resident service in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should be able to perform basic repairs, document work, and coordinate with residents and staff while adhering to safety guidelines and company SOPs.

Qualifications

• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety procedures with a safety-conscious attitude.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel when required.
• Ability to access computer programs and learn basic computer operations.
• Willingness to be on-call and work after-hours/weekend emergencies.
• Physical ability to stand 8 hours and lift up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical condition of the property according to SOPs and OSHA standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs to minimize liability and optimize asset function.
• Execute maintenance objectives and daily assignments for the Facilities team.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks and assist in ensuring all service requests are completed.
• Document work performed, parts used, and follow-up needs with clear notes.
• Perform basic appliance, carpentry, plumbing/fixture repair, painting, and electrical tasks as needed.
• Promote good relations with residents, staff, contractors, and management.
