Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Facility Technician to perform maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical components, plumbing, drywall, and painting across facilities in Tempe, AZ. The role requires independent work, strong safety adherence, and the ability to troubleshoot electrical motors and controllers.

Occasional weekends may be required. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision while following all safety and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical motors and controllers.
• Welding is a plus.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Follow safety procedures and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, and evaporative coolers.
• Maintain and repair plumbing systems, fixtures, drains, and water lines.
• Repair, patch, texture, and finish drywall surfaces as needed.
• Perform interior and exterior painting to maintain building appearance.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and complete work accurately.
